General Description

As a member of the Strategy & Analytics team, the Business Analyst will work collaboratively with marketing, media, corporate sales, ticketing, retail, and stadium operations. The analyst will directly support the Vice President of Strategy & Analytics. Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, weekly, monthly & ad-hoc reporting, data analysis, market research and fan segmentation & audience building. The ideal candidate will have excellent data visualization and storytelling skills and be enthusiastic about the role.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze data and produce insights and recommendations for business objectives and decisions.

  • Build and maintain suite of business intelligence dashboards and reports out of data warehouse and CRM.

  • Create compelling and aesthetically pleasing data visualizations.

  • Extract and transform data from data warehouse, CRM and third-party data tools as needed.

  • Work closely with marketing, ticket sales and corporate partnerships on outbound marketing segmentation strategy & lead generation efforts.

  • Assist with market research related to sponsorship sales, ticket sales, digital media and marketing.

  • Gather and present data for sponsor recaps and performance; measure ROI.

  • Identify and present on industry and organizational trends.

  • Package and communicate analytical findings (trends, etc). and develop presentations as needed.

  • Support Strategy & Analytics efforts as needed.

Required Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in data science, business analytics or related and appropriate field. 1-3 years’ experience working in an analyst or business intelligence role for a professional sports team or similar entity ideal.

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Proficiency in Tableau and/or other data visualization tools

  • Knowledge of relational databases and experience using SQL

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and KORE software a plus

  • Working knowledge of analytic & demographic software including Adobe Omniture, Facebook Insights, Nielson/Scarborough, BlinkFire Analytics, DoubleClick, etc. a plus

  • Strong initiative & willingness to take on a variety of tasks

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented

  • Ability to think analytically and creatively

  • Adaptability to environment involving several simultaneous projects – multitasking

  • Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to understand and solve tasks with little supervision
