The Atlanta Falcons are a professional American football club and member of the National Football League (NFL). The team plays its home games at the Georgia Dome in downtown Atlanta, and will move play to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2017 when the new stadium opens. The team’s headquarters and practice facilities are currently located at a 50-acre site in Flowery Branch, Georgia. The Falcons’ NFL expansion franchise was awarded in 1965 and acquired by Arthur Blank, co-founder of Home Depot, in 2002. Under Blank’s leadership, the Falcons have become one of the League’s premier teams on and off the field.

Atlanta Falcons Stadium Company

Atlanta Falcons Stadium Company is the developer and future operator of Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The new home of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United, Mercedes-Benz Stadium will open in 2017. The stadium will also host numerous other sports and entertainment events. The multi-purpose venue will feature flexible capacity that can expand to up to 83,000 seats; a retractable roof structure inspired by the oculus in the ancient Rome Pantheon; views of the Atlanta skyline; a 360-degree HD video halo board that, at nearly six stories tall and 1,100 linear feet in diameter, will be the largest in the NFL and the world; an exterior fan plaza that will provide fans with pre- and post-game entertainment; and a technology lounge offering a unique game day experience full of media content and full game immersion.

Atlanta United FC

Atlanta United is Major League Soccer’s 22nd franchise and will begin play in 2017 when Mercedes-Benz Stadium opens. The club’s avid fan base has set MLS records in fan participation with the number of seats already reserved for the inaugural season. Since club owner Arthur Blank was awarded the franchise in 2014, Atlanta United is emerging as a top flight organization in MLS and in the community.

Position Summary

Coordinates and supports training, onboarding, and engagement processes and programs for the Blank Family of Businesses with the goal of strengthening our values-based culture while attracting, developing, and retaining high performing associates. We are looking for a skilled Training Specialist who will help us ensure the smooth and effective functioning of training events and special projects in our company.

You should be an experienced educator٫ with strong abilities to convey a deep knowledge of your field. Organizational skills and a positive attitude are also required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a positive, welcoming, engaging function with a desire to continuously improve all we do.

  • Coordinate the logistics of onboarding, training and engagement events including communicating with stakeholders, scheduling students, tracking attendance reserving and setting up rooms, procuring supplies, tracking completions, surveying students, and scheduling after actions.

  • Maintain HRIS (Workday) system related to onboarding process and learning management.

  • Track and compile training and engagement statistics including number of classes held, no show rates, total students, survey data.

  • Assist with creation of training and engagement related communications, surveys, and presentation materials.

  • Process training and engagement related invoices and track to approved annual budget.

  • Assist with HR and learning and development programs and projects.

  • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for associates.

  • Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.

  • Creates and coordinates training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.

  • Contributes to the instruction and presentation of training programs and onboarding. Assess how effectively different methods and materials are at encouraging interaction and participation

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Min 3-5 years of related HR and/or Learning & Development experience

  • Min 2 – 3 years of Facilitation and presentation skills

  • Project mapping and curriculum building

  • CPTM/ATD Certification is a plus
