Roles and Responsibilities
Help Account Executives by identifying group sales prospects through online search, e-mail, and call campaigns
Half of the time will be helping the Account Executives on the team with upcoming projects to assist the team and learn the innerworkings
The other half will be learning how to sell – beginning by teaching the basics of cold calling. Then move on to helping research, create, and implement group sales programs with nonprofits, churches, youth soccer leagues, and businesses in the Atlanta Metro area while maximizing revenue
Make an average of 25-30 phone calls per day to help prospect and generate group revenue
Attend Atlanta United community events to promote group ticket sales initiatives
Fulfill match day responsibilities including but not limited to greeting clients, helping with lead prospecting initiatives, and managing on-field group activities both pre and post-match
Staying up to date on industry best practices by networking with colleagues across the platform of professional sports
Assist with managing customer records within Archtics and CRM
Must be willing to non-traditional hours, weekends, and game/event days as part of the 30-Hour week.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
The ideal candidate should be aggressive, competitive, creative, professional, mature, a good listener, self-starting and committed to the team concept
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
Required Skills
Organization and attention to detail is key for this role
Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment
An active knowledge of the sport and the MLS preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Strong interpersonal skills including a positive demeanor, team spirit, and professionalism
Flexibility and adaptability
High level of computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
