The Community Relations Assistant will provide support to all persons in the Community Relations department over the 2023-2024 Falcons football pre-season, regular, and post-season. This is an opportunity that will require up to 40 hours per week with evening and weekend hours as dictated by the department’s events and game day responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include

  • Assist Community Relations Department with various events, programs and initiatives

  • Assist with all aspects related to the Community Relations department, including but not limited to military outreach, player outreach, youth and high school football and Legends outreach

  • Aid with the support of the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders and Freddie Falcon programs and initiatives

  • Oversee and manage all department databases

  • Attend and assist at various internal events where Atlanta Falcons players and/or Legends are requested

  • Assist with the execution of Community Relations game day operations

  • Coordinate distribution and database logging necessary gameday tickets and credentials

  • Assist with managing @FalconsCR Twitter and Instagram accounts; keeping accounts constantly updated with new material

  • Assist with supporting the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders and Freddie Falcon social media accounts

  • Assist with processing, fulfilling and shipping donations using DonationXchange

  • Manage Community Relations inventory, including appearance jerseys, Legends blazers, equipment, giveaways and promotional items

  • Assist with taking, compiling and reporting out various department meeting notes

  • Assist with events and special group visits during Atlanta Falcons Training Camp

  • Respond to all Community Relations mail inquiries

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of department related properties within the team’s facilities

  • Update and maintain various Community Relations materials on a weekly basis

  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Experience in event operations, planning and executing preferred

  • At least one year experience working in the sports industry preferred

Skill and Knowledge Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel

  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
