As a new position to the AMBSE executive team, the Chief Commercial Officer will oversee Corporate Partnerships Sales and Activation for Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. In addition to creating strategies and metrics to ensure our businesses meet/exceed their budgets and objectives, the ideal candidate will successfully energize the team to optimize business development and customer relationships.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Develop an executive prospecting strategy; social selling, and professional networking to generate new prospects with local and national brands.
Ability to craft and execute a world class sales strategy
Strong understanding of marketing and activation strategies, with the ability to develop and execute successful campaigns
Strong understanding of media and technology partnerships, and how they can be leveraged to drive revenue and engagement
Ensure the management of all financial aspects of the Corporate Partnerships organization including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and overall management
Lead, develop and communicate the corporate partnership vision, strategy, and resource requirements
Create and manage budgets for all growth initiatives, ensuring efficient use of resources, and alignment with company objectives
Proactively identify and close new Sponsorship/Partnership opportunities with new and existing partners to achieve annual revenue target
Lead and develop a team of growth-focused professionals, providing guidance and mentorship in order maintain a strong departmental culture
Partner with other members of the Leadership team to execute the strategic plan and further develop Corporate Partnership strategy
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BA/BS in marketing, business administration, or related field
Experience selling 7-figure deals
15+ years in diverse, senior sales leadership roles, driving and implementing sales strategy and revenue growth
Strongly prefer experience with multiple sports and entertainment sales
Significant large, multi-year deal experience
Strong collaborator that works well cross functionally, across the company, and externally
Exceptional team leadership and communication skills
Proven track record of growing revenue through corporate partnerships
Significant P&L experience and consistently achieving or surpassing targets
History of decision-making based on business metrics
Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach
Proven ability to think strategically and have strong analytical skills.
High emotional intelligence: ability to manage conflict, promote equity and inclusion, develop talent and a healthy working culture
Proven track record of scaling revenue and hitting aggressive growth targets
Advanced business and analytical acumen required
Strong background in executive-level sales, partnerships, and business development required
Proven experience in successfully marshalling complex strategic partnerships required
