The Senior Systems Engineer provides engineering support, system deployment and administration of physical, virtual and cloud computing environments for mission critical applications. The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the design and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications. The Senior Systems Engineer works with the Sr. Manager IT Engineering as well as team members to define business requirements, systems goals and to identify and resolve business systems issues.

Technology Services works closely with business partners to improve and transform technology-enabled capabilities and the value of the Technology investment portfolio through innovation, execution, and an outstanding user experience. Major responsibilities:

  • Support mission critical systems, applications, projects and new initiatives.
  • Evaluate, test, and integrate new operating system versions, drivers, and patches.
  • Serve as a technical lead, advising on critical system design. Evaluating and implementing new and emerging technologies and solutions.
  • Manage physical Windows Servers and Virtualized Windows environment, maintaining performance and capacity planning.
  • Maintaining and improving our Windows builds through automation and monitoring.
  • Respond and assist with production operation issues in a 24/7 environment.
  • Trouble shooting, problem isolation, and remediation using root cause analysis of technology issues.
  • Architect systems to help achieve business goals.
  • Design and implement process improvements.
  • Plan and schedule system and hardware upgrades and updates.
  • Mentor and educate Junior IT staff.


  • Computer Science degree (or related field) or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong technical acumen in systems engineering leveraging proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.
  • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Strong project management, organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with technical and business personnel.
  • Strong customer service skills, dedicated to the best user experience.

Team player who demonstrates flexibility and enthusiasm in attitude and approach.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Experience with Cloud providers: Google, AWS, Azure
  • Cyber security applications
  • Experience with Tableau,, Workday, SQL
  • Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, SAFE certification
  • VMwareCisco Networking or Microsoft certifications
