Atlanta Braves Public Address Announcer
The Atlanta Braves are seeking to hire a Public Address Announcer to be the voice of the Atlanta Braves. Applicant must be highly motivated, organized and able to multi-task while working under pressure.
This is a Game Day position and will be responsible for communicating important, real-time information to the crowd at Truist Park during games and events.
College graduate or equivalent degree in the field of broadcasting.
(Must have) A pleasant and well-controlled voice, effective timing, and excellent pronunciation.
Experience announcing at live sporting events (baseball preferred).
Expert knowledge of MLB player rosters, pronunciation of names, and game rules.
Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills, including superior attention to detail.
Must have a passion for sports and multimedia storytelling.
A strong team player with a positive attitude.
Possess a creative, organized, responsible, and collaborative mindset, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while communicating information.
Experience working in Shoflo to follow and edit information in scripts.
Baseball IQ to be able to follow the game and inform fans of substitutions during the game with batters and defensive positions.
Ability to ad lib when needed during the game.
Must be available for all 81 regular season Braves games as well as all potential postseason games
Ability to work all Braves home games and other events to include week days & nights, weekends and holidays
6-7 hour shifts on game days, typically beginning 3 hours prior to First Pitch
This is a Part-Time position (Game Days / Braves Events)
