The Marketing Automation Coordinator (Growth) will assist the Digital Marketing & Automation Manager and Marketing & Advertising Sr. Manager in all stages for the creation and execution of marketing automation and digital marketing campaigns. Specifically, the Marketing Automation Coordinator (Growth) will assist with initiatives focused on commercial email marketing, mobile (text/app alerts, etc.) and paid digital media platforms, with a heavy focus on applying data and analytics to drive ticket revenue. This role will help identify and build audience segments to be applied to email and paid digital advertising campaigns, helping drive efficiency in media spend while maximizing revenue.

The Marketing Department acts as an internal agency, working collaboratively with all departments (including Ticket Sales, Membership Services, Premium Sales, Community Affairs, Corporate Partnerships, Meetings & Events, etc.) to help them achieve their goals through various marketing initiatives and campaigns. In addition, the Marketing Department develops engaging content and promotional opportunities for fans to drive a deeper level of fandom and loyalty to our team.

Major responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the creation and execution of digital marketing campaigns focused on driving new revenue through automation and personalization, specifically focused on driving single game and A-List Season Ticket purchases.

  • Utilize the consumer data platform to identify and develop new audiences for marketing campaigns and targeted sales initiatives

  • Collaborate with new ticket initiatives and ticket operations for the creation of offers & promotions to identified audience.

  • Assist in bi-weekly & monthly reporting to determine campaign effectiveness and drive insights for future initiatives.

  • Assist with the programming and growth of Digital Truist Park, a photo-realistic digital twin of Truist Park built in Unreal Engine

  • Manage trafficking of assets to paid digital media vendors and MLB Performance Media Team

  • Assist in management of the company-wide email calendar in Salesforce

  • Actively participate in weekly marketing meetings and brainstorming sessions related to proposed marketing projects

  • Willingness to work nights and weekends during the baseball season as needed

Qualifications:

  • College degree with an emphasis on Business, Marketing, Advertising, Management Information Systems, Statistics and/or Sports Management

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, think creatively, analyze data, and problem solve

  • 1-3 years relevant experience in email marketing, paid digital marketing and/or CRM

  • Must complete a successful background check

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of paid digital marketing platforms including Facebook/Instagram and the Google Advertising ecosystem. Ability to understand and recommend optimizations to campaign performance.

  • Comfortability working with data to drive decisions in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.

  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP function, basic data visualization, and proper data formatting.

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Platform or other Customer Data Platforms a plus

  • Baseline knowledge or willingness to be trained on:

    • SQL, R, or other database languages

    • Tableau or other data visualization tools

    • CRM systems

  • Understanding and passion for the Metaverse and Web3 technologies

  • Must be a team-first player who works well with others. Collaboration will be a key to success in this role

  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must possess natural curiosity and ambition to aid in moving the business forward.
