We are currently recruiting a Trimmer for a Weekend Day shift in our Trim Shop

  • To trim, assemble, bond and repair components as required

  • To accurately use a variety of measuring equipment, hand and air tools as required always ensuring attention to detail.

  • To appropriately maintain equipment as required including but not limited to changing blast media, changing filters in extraction, oiling tools and machinery.

  • To complete and update the online shop order system.

  • To inform the appropriate manager / team leader of the progress of the jobs, any issues and when stock levels of consumables/tools are below a certain level.

  • To ensure the standard of housekeeping is consistently maintained as and when required.

  • To ensure all appropriate safety equipment and clothing is used and worn at all times.

  • To chair, attend and proactively participate in meetings as required

  • To work proactively, responsibly, and professionally at all times and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure

  • To maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard and maintain current and thorough working knowledge of composite trimming and assemblies.

  • Any other duties as reasonably requested aligned to you job role

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Proven previous experience in the production of carbon fibre components.

  • Possess a thorough understanding of effectively and accurate use of measuring equipment and reading weighing equipment.

  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of basic trimming, bonding, and assemblies.

  • Ability to effectively and accurately read and understand technical drawings.

  • Previous experience is essential.

  • Be available to travel as and when required to fulfil the requirements of the role in which employed.

  • To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment.

  • Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • To communicate effectively, positively, and respectfully with all colleagues

  • To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment

  • Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills

  • Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues

  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety
