Internal Communications Manager


  • Develop and own the internal communications strategy, plan and execution to communicate effectively with the team’s employees and promote employee engagement across Aston Martin F1.

  • ·Play an active role in helping staff connect at the factory and racetrack, and understand and engage with the team’s objectives, celebrate success, and support the Environmental, Social & Governance commitments.

  • Draw upon your experience, skills and creativity to build and deliver compelling, relevant and timely communications across channels.

  • Own and content manage the team’s intranet, ensuring that content remains engaging and current.

  • Build relationships with leaders across the organisation and support them to develop effective and engaging two-way communication.

  • Help to increase awareness and engagement with sponsor-partners across the wider team.

  • Actively contribute towards the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top-three team in the FIA Formula 1 World Constructors’ Championship.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement an integrated communications strategy. Lead and shape the internal communications agenda for the team with input from various departments.

  • Ensure team initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees across all relevant channels.

  • Provide valuable guidance to senior management on all internal communication strategy and initiatives.

  • Be responsible for the end-to-end processes of key internal communication events such as our post-race debriefs.

  • Inform staff of any key dates and events taking place at the factory (e.g., driver visits).

  • Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentations to employees in written or spoken form.

  • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent across all channels and are appropriately presented for different departments in the team.

  • Provide a forum for internal feedback, adapting internal communications strategies and tactics to optimise employee engagement.

  • Work closely with the Partnership team to help increase awareness of sponsor-partners across the team.

  • Research and write high-quality articles, briefings, presentations, articles and blogs.

  • Chair, attend and proactively participate in meetings as required.

  • Maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard and maintain current and thorough working knowledge of Communications.

  • Encourage further evolution of the Intranet and co-ordination of the content posted by each department.

  • Any other duties as reasonably requested aligned to your job role.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Proven experience developing and implementing effective internal communication strategies and employee engagement campaigns.

  • Be a skilled, creative storyteller with excellent English language writing and editing skills, and the ability to turn complex and technical messages into simple and compelling content for a range of audiences.

  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across the team at all levels.

  • Be a confident presenter and able to speak to large audiences.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities.

  • Writing and strategic communication planning.

  • Be highly organised and be able to prioritise and multi-task in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Self-motivated and motivates others to thrive in a challenging environment.

  • Have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.

  • Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.

  • Be available to travel as and when required to fulfil the requirements of the role.

The role will be based at the Silverstone Factory / Brackley premises and has a requirement to travel as and when requested to meet the requirements of the Company.
