We have an exciting opportunity for a HR & Recruitment Assistant to be part of our HR Team.

PURPOSE

  • To provide accurate and consistent HR provision to all employees, supporting the wider HR team to deliver a best in class service.

  • To actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact within the HR department, to provide policy and process guidance and general advice to managers and employees in a professional manner.

  • Update/maintain Sharepoint HR pages (including benefits, HR, well-being & social updates).

  • Support the Recruitment & Talent Manager with the recruitment cycle, including ensuring best use of the Recruitment system and candidate experience, daily filtering of advert responses and transferring into Managers’ recruitment folders, arranging interviews, keeping a track of all live vacancies and ensuring they always correlate with the headcount spreadsheet, delivering offers and feedback to candidates where necessary, attending occasional interviews, liaising with managers to ensure we have all relevant information in order to recruit efficiently.

  • Manage the employment lifecycle administration for all areas, covering offer of employment through to termination of employment (including offers, contracts of employment, new starter paperwork, references, Jira tickets, probationary review, terms and conditions changes, leavers paperwork).

  • Be the responsible person in ensuring right to work checks are completed and support with the sponsorship/visa requirements where required (liaising with our external Immigration Advisor and ensuring the visa tracker is up to date).

  • Lead on Company inductions and placing induction timetables as required.

  • Update Company Organisation Charts ensuring they are correct and accurate and placed on Sharepoint.

  • Champion the HR system, taking responsibility for ensuring the information is up to date and accurate at all times (updates to be completed in a timely manner); new starters, leavers, position changes, fixed holidays.

  • Be the responsible person in responding to queries related to the HR system (e.g. ESS login, holiday queries.

  • Completion of general administration as required (including the raising of purchase orders, transferring personnel files from paper to electronic, monitoring HR shared inbox).

  • Support the HR Business Partners with Project work and / or employee relations meetings as and when required.

  • Support the Recruitment and Talent Manager with relevant projects, including student engagement events, work experience, placements and apprenticeship activities/programmes, attending our school and university visits

  • To work proactively, responsibly and professionally at all times and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure.

  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Company.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Be qualified to, or studying towards, CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience

  • Possess an excellent working knowledge of HR in the workplace and have a practical and hands on approach

  • Process understanding of UK employment legislation, HR policy and process

  • Possess good problem solving skills

  • Confident, professional communication skills combined with an approachable and capable attitude Primary Responsibilities

  • Be confident under pressure and comfortable in a fast-paced and challenging environment

  • Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales

  • To have a flexible attitude and ability to work part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment

  • Excellent IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills

  • Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues

  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety

The role will be based at the Silverstone Factory / Brackley premises however there may be a requirement to travel as and when requested to meet the requirements of the Company.
