Alpine F1 Team have a leadership opportunity to join our team as the Head of Aero Performance Group where you will lead the assessment of the aerodynamic performance of the race car, including the modelling and measuring the performance.

Head of Aerodynamic Performance Group – The Role

The key responsibility of this position will be to promote the understanding aerodynamic performance of the race car to help direct the aerodynamic development of the race car. You will continuously review the operating regime of the car on track with a view of identifying aerodynamic limitations and suggesting remedial actions such as changing the targets the aero department work to, changing the set-up of the car etc. You will have responsibility for defining Aero motivated programmes in the DIL simulator with the aim of improving the understanding and direction of aerodynamic development that will deliver lap time improvements on track. Lead & direct, giving responsibility, support and guidance to senior members of the Aero Performance Group and foster a culture of ownership and accountability ensuring projects and tasks are completed on time and to a high standard

Head of Aerodynamic Performance Group – The Person

Candidates must have a first-class knowledge and experience of measuring and modelling the aerodynamic performance of a race car. Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a highly talented team are essential qualities for this role.
