The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional football team and a member of the National Football League’s AFC South Division. The Jaguars are one of the NFL’s youngest franchises, playing their first regular season home game on September 3, 1995 in Jacksonville, Fla., and have since won four division titles. The Jaguars are owned by Shahid Khan, a visionary leader whose businesses include Flex-N-Gate, Fulham Football Club, All Elite Wrestling, Bold Events and Iguana Investments. The Jaguars and Iguana Investments recently opened the state-of-the-art Sports Performance Center (Miller Electric Center), which now houses all of football operations for the Jaguars, including players, coaches and other personnel. Over the next several years, the Jaguars and Iguana Investments will complete Phase 1 of the Shipyards, a reimagination of the riverfront which will include a Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences, an office building and modernized marina, as well as begin additional projects to transform the area around the stadium into a year-round, mixed-use sports and entertainment district.

Summary

The Technology Administrator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the Technology Department can provide top notch support to the unique technology needs of football and business operations, sporting events, entertainment productions, and private events. Duties will include administration, coordination, technical support, ticket routing, maintenance, configurations, installations, asset management, documentation and various tasks as assigned by management. To be successful, the Technology Administrator should be technically minded with a basic knowledge of computer systems and networks, as well as good organizational and communication skills. Ability and willingness to perform physical tasks such as managing hardware, supplies, and cabling. This position will expose the Technology Administrator to a wide range of technologies and is a great opportunity to expand IT experience. We are looking for a candidate that is eager to tackle any challenge.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administrative Tasks: Support IT administrative tasks, such as meeting coordination, ordering equipment, and managing service contracts
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, including procurement, distribution, and tracking of IT assets
  • Organization: Keep the IT storage areas organized and tidy, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are easily accessible when needed
  • Documentation: Create and update documentation for hardware, software, and network configurations, as well as troubleshooting procedures and user guides
  • Hardware Installations: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, network devices, and peripherals
  • Cabling: Manage and maintain network cabling, ensuring proper connectivity and addressing any issues with cable management
  • Assist in configuring and troubleshooting software applications, operating systems, and user accounts.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide basic troubleshooting and technical support to end-users, escalating complex issues to the IT team as needed
  • Security Awareness: Assist in ensuring that security protocols and policies are followed, including software updates, antivirus protection, and user access controls
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT team members to complete projects, resolve technical issues, and support the overall IT infrastructure
  • Training: Create training materials and perform training sessions with end users

Job Requirements

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues and end-users
  • Physical ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed
  • Strong typing skills are required
  • On-call availability 24x7
  • Required to work Jaguars home games
  • Flexibility to work odd hours and weekends as needs dictate

Preferred

  • An associate degree in IT or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
