Role Summary:
Reports to the Senior Director of Marketing and Broadcasting and the Director, Creative to deliver high quality game presentation and sponsorship activation for the Bakersfield Condors.
Core Responsibilities and Duties:
Oversee all aspects of game presentation to enhance fan’s game day experience and fulfill sponsorship game elements.
Write scripts for production team, PA announcers, in-arena hosts, promotions and interactive elements.
Produce and direct live events integrating all production elements (i.e. graphics, lighting, music, video, PA, in-bowl and on-ice entertainment, etc.)
Oversees graphic and video content displayed at games including working with unionized production team to ensure the best product during game presentation.
Manage game night ice/promotions crew to ensure requirements are met
Meet with necessary Ticket Sales, Corporate, Service, and Operations departments to determine details of upcoming game nights and ensure needs are met while keeping fan experience at the forefront.
Assist Marketing department in the creation of graphics; executing marketing campaigns and sales promotions through visual assets, video, and interactive experiences; coordinate with multiple departments, including Sales, Corporate, and Community Relations on creative needs.
Assist in maintaining digital photo archives.
Adhere to brand imaging standards ensuring consistency in look and feel.
Provide production and operational support to the Game Presentation department during all Bakersfield Condors home games and scheduled events.
Will act as a liaison between the game/event Producer to set up and cue part-time Condors Ice Crew, host, and other talent for live promotional opportunities and intermission activities that occur throughout the game.
Assist in making sure that all pre-game, in-game, and post-game entertainment elements occur promptly at their pre-designated time and are executed accurately.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Degree is required. In lieu of degree, extensive experience in a related field will be considere
1-3 years of experience in a related field
Previous experience in game or event operations in sports preferred
Experience in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) desired
Strong ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
Keen eye for event presentation, structured, and able to maintain focus under pressure
A passion for sports and entertainment production.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent work ethic, self-motivated and team player
Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
Must have access to a vehicle and a motor vehicle license (or ability to obtain one prior to employment)
Successful candidate will be required to provide proof of vaccination
Starting wage budgeted for this role is $16/hour with a variable commission.
