Job Summary:
The Coordinator, Baseball Technology will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of all performance science technology and baseball tracking systems. This role will work closely with Baseball Analytics, Baseball Performance, Player Development and Coaching Staffs to ensure data from these systems is collected, processed, and managed to optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for Hawkeye and TrackMan day-to-day operations management, including the staffing and oversight of all seasonal operators.
Operate Hawk-Eye systems as needed. Conduct pre-game checks and monitor camera-based models throughout the game, adjusting as necessary to ensure accurate data.
Responsible for the management of all Hawk-Eye post-processing, ensuring accurate and timely post-processing.
Work closely with the data operations team to ensure all data, including tracking data is delivered in a timely manner and any issues are communicated.
Central point of contact for all technology and tracking system operations with the responsibility of ensuring data quality and supporting user needs. Trouble shoot problems with technology providers as needed.
Responsible for the management of Performance Science Lab, ensuring all technology is maintained to the highest standard.
Oversee data collection from various Baseball Performance technologies, including but not limited to force plates, Blast Motion, wearable sensors etc.
Coordinate operations and tracking of amateur events and workouts as directed.
Collaborate with Minor League Video Operations, as necessary.
Maintain technology inventories.
Other duties as directed by the Director, Performance Science.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge of general baseball concepts.
The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills. The ability to communicate and resolve issues is critical.
Previous experience using Hawk-Eye, KinaTrax, Trackman and other baseball technology is preferred but not required.
The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
The ideal candidate must be willing to work longs hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
The candidate must be available full-time.
Willing and able to relocate to the Lakeland, FL area.
Working Conditions:
Office environment and on-field/training facility activities.
Evening, weekend, and holiday hours required.
