
Director of Football Analytics
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Football Analytics to lead our analytics department in analyzing and interpreting data to inform decision-making for our football operations. As the Director of Football Analytics, you will be responsible for managing the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to player performance, scouting, and game strategy. You will work closely with our coaching, scouting and front office staff to provide data-driven insights and recommendations to help the team succeed. This position is based at our Headquarters in Frisco, Texas (not remote).
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the football analytics department, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Collaborate with coaching staff and scouting personnel to develop and implement data-driven strategies for player acquisition, team building, and game planning.
Develop and implement statistical models to evaluate player performance, identify potential talent, and predict future outcomes.
Conduct research and analysis of new and emerging data sources to identify trends and patterns in player performance and team success.
Communicate insights and recommendations to the coaching staff, front office, and ownership through written reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
Develop and maintain relationships with external data providers and vendors to ensure access to the latest data and analytical tools.
Mentor and develop junior analysts within the department to ensure their growth and development.
Requirements:
Bachelor's, Master's or higher degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in football analytics or a related field.
Proven track record of using statistical modeling and data analysis to inform decision-making in a football or other sports context.
Experience managing a team of analysts and collaborating with coaching and scouting staff.
Strong knowledge of databases (including SQL), statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Passion for football and a deep understanding of the game and its strategies.
Flexible schedule with availability to work nights, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
