The Chicago White Sox seek a Human Resources professional to help lead our human resources related functionalities. In this hands-on role you will help develop and administer all employee-related programs and initiatives. In addition, you’ll be challenged to strategize and execute broader long-term employee-related benefit and professional development programs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in working across a broad range of responsibilities including but not limited to HRIS maintenance, employee on-boarding, talent acquisition, and benefit administration.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintenance of Applicant Tracking System
  • Oversee the onboarding of new hires
  • Manage Employee Self Service portal (ESS)
  • Benefit Orientation and Administration
  • Cobra Administration
  • Assist departmental managers in the recruitment of personnel, including drafting of job postings
  • Lead diversity and inclusion programs
  • Coordinate with Payroll to verify all information remains current in employee files
  • Assist in the administration of retirement plans (defined benefit & defined contribution)
  • Work closely with Vice President of Human Resources on all compliance issues including year-end testing and Form 5500 preparation
  • Assist in the development of long-term professional development program

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR generalist-role
  • Experience with UKG software strongly preferred, including report writing capabilities
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Must be comfortable communicating with all employee levels
  • Attention to detail, with ability to review and edit information as needed
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to speak/write in Spanish a plus
  • Knowledge of the Chicago White Sox and Major League Baseball preferred
