Business Strategy & Analytics

The seasonal will help support the Business Strategy and Analytics department of the Chicago Bears during the summer of 2023. Responsibilities will be focused on the department’s strategic planning efforts, including evaluating, measuring, and monitoring KPIs for the organization as well as individual business lines, and supporting sales efforts through the analysis of research and creation of new, sellable assets. This role will develop a fundamental understanding of existing and new business challenges, identifying strategies and solutions for growing local revenue streams and identifying new opportunities.

This position is a paid hourly, temporary position, working Monday through Thursday (approximately 32 hours per week). The ideal candidate will reside in the Chicagoland area with the ability to work in Lake Forest, IL. The role will last approximately 3 months starting in June 2023.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop an understanding of business needs and objectives and translating those into KPI tracking (dashboards, slide decks, status updates). Proactively recommend corrective actions and strategies based on data and measurement of defined KPIs.

  • Support Partnership Sales and Activation in the measurement and tracking of Partner objectives. Elevate key learnings and communicate findings to team to proactively bring to Partners.

  • Create and establish sellable sponsorship assets using competitive analysis and market research.

  • Support Business Strategist and Manager, Advanced Analytics in extracting key results from organizational tactics and events, streamlining feedback to project leads.

  • Synthesize category and competitive insights and data to deliver fresh, new thinking and recommendations for innovation.

  • Build a framework for long-term planning utilizing data, fan, and internal feedback to advance timelines to optimize events and maximize sellable sponsorable inventory.

  • Support international business operations by helping to plan, communicate, and execute marketing activations alongside the internal core team and external stakeholders.

  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in strategy, management, or finance. Advanced degree or in progress thereof is preferred.

  • Previous experience (class or internship) in sponsorship or marketing.

  • Analytical mindset, including ability to digest key data and apply it to overall strategy.

  • Direct experience supporting and collaborating with cross-functional leadership.

  • An understanding of consumer-facing businesses, with emphasis driving revenue, branding, and digital experiences and products.

  • Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, communication (verbal and written), and influencing skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across team.
