Summary:
Throughout the Boston Celtics’ storied history, we have long stood for equality and respect, including drafting the first African American player, hiring the first African American coach, and playing the first all-black starting five. The Celtics have won a record 17 NBA Championships spanning five (5) decades, including eight (8) in a row from 1959-1966, and winning their most recent in 2008. In addition, forty-one (41) former Celtics players, management, coaches, or staff have been inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. In December 2002 the team returned to local ownership for the first time since 1963.
The Jr. Celtics Academy (JCA) is the official youth basketball platform, which is dedicated to fostering positive youth development in the community through highly engaging basketball programs teaching the standards of Celtics basketball to kids, coaches, and parents.
Are you passionate about youth basketball? Do you jump at the chance to teach the game and work with young, aspiring basketball players? In partnership with New Balance, we’re offering you the chance to join our Jr. Celtics team. We have a passion for putting young people first and providing engaging basketball programs for all skill levels while teaching basketball the “Celtics Way”. Come join us as we are pursuing our next full-time teammate, who will report to the Sr. Director, Youth Basketball Development.
