Digital Media - Manager, Media Sponsorship

As a member of Ravens Media, the Sponsorship Manager will advocate for Ravens Media assets while working collaboratively with Corporate Sales, Client Services and Marketing to manage or assist with all phases of sponsorship related to digital media, social media and productions. The position will report to the Sr. Director of Digital Strategy & Innovation.

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, managing digital and broadcast sponsorship inventory and rates, developing new sellable assets, collaborating with the sales team on proposals, attending weekly sales meetings, trafficking and managing display advertising, fulfilling sponsorships and entitlements and strategically broadening revenue opportunities within the Ravens Media department.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the quality, principles and integrity of Ravens Media sponsorable assets; balance revenue generation with asset integrity.

  • Manage all digital, social and broadcast sponsorship inventory and rates, working with outside agencies and the NFL when needed.

  • Work with key stakeholders within Ravens Media and Corporate Sales & Business Development to develop new sponsorship inventory and revenue opportunities, evaluate existing inventory and eliminate obsolete inventory.

  • Work closely with Corporate Sales account executives to understand client objectives & build sales proposals accordingly. Assist in client sales pitches as needed.

  • Work closely with Client Services team to ensure all sponsor assets are properly activated and fulfilled on time.

  • Provide and enforce design specifications to be delivered to clients.

  • Work with NFL Ad Ops team to properly traffic ROS ads in Google Ad Manager and manage impression delivery.

  • Create and manage fulfillment tracking documents to be shared internally.

  • Ensure proper allocation of asset revenue in line with rate card.

  • Fulfillment which may include trafficking and placing digital, email and social display ads, trafficking assets for entitlements and features, sending dedicated emails, working with stakeholders to ensure they are meeting sponsorship obligations.

  • Gather and present data for sponsor recaps and performance. Measure ROI.

  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Public Relations, Community Relations and Ticketing on all cross-departmental sponsorship opportunities and activations.

  • Identify industry and organizational trends. Present and explain trends to supervisor and Ravens Media team. Educate Corporate Sales team on digital sponsorship trends.

  • Attend weekly Ravens Media staff meeting. Attend weekly Corporate Sales meeting.

  • Manage @RavensPromos Twitter account

  • Ensure gameday sponsorship activations are properly fulfilled. Position will be required to work gamedays.

Required Education and/or Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience working in a professional or collegiate sports sponsorship role.

  • Bachelor's degree in sports and/or entertainment management, strategic communication, integrated marketing or related field.

  • Applicant must have solid understanding of sports sponsorship, particularly digital, social and video.

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills

  • Ability to balance competing interests and handle differences of opinion between various stakeholders

  • Possess a thick skin and a strong conviction toward digital asset principles

  • Ability to synthesize input and feedback from many parties

  • Superior collaboration skills; able to work independently as well as with a team

  • High capacity to manage conflict and work toward compromise and solutions

  • Highly organized, excellent attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to think analytically and creatively

  • Strong initiative & willingness to take on a variety of tasks

  • Adaptability to fast-paced environment involving several simultaneous projects; multitasking

  • Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to understand and solve tasks with little supervision

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with Google Ad Manager a plus

  • Familiarity with email service providers a plus
