
Retail Operations Seasonal Assistant
This seasonal position provides support and assistance to the retail department for the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United and Atlanta United 2. The retail businesses include, but are not limited to, online, Atlantic Station and Mercedes-Benz Stadium stores. This position would run from July 2023 through January 2024, is based at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA, and will not be allow to work more than 30 hours per week.
Roles and Responsibilities
Retail Operations
Attend product launch meetings and assist in retail reporting for each location
Assist with monthly product launch document for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United
Ensure that retail teams at MBS and Atlantic Station are prepared for product launches
Ensure that MBS team store has all sizes available in top 10 products prior to events
Product pricing review
Ensure in-store and online pricing is the same for both teams
Assist with internal orders and coordination of retail team store & warehouse visits as needed
Assist with internal order reporting
Assist with retail projects on an as needed basis
Attend retail events as needed at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and other offsite locations
Work Atlanta United & Atlanta Falcons games throughout the season
Retail Projects
Assist with signage at Atlantic Station and Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Assist with promotional calendar for in-venue and online for both teams
Assist with events surrounding product launches
Manage the retail trailer tours for each team
Assist with producing Atlantic Station events
Work with Fanatics on halo board graphics for Atlanta United and Atlanta Falcons games
Work with creative on photo shoots & graphics packages for online for both teams
Monitor social media for both teams and track retail social posts
Research retail best practices across all leagues for social media
Work with marketing/creative team on scarf of the month & all custom graphics and keep track of sell through
Retail Reporting
Work with data analytics team on ad hoc retail reporting as needed
Assist with reporting after each match
Assist with monthly AMBSE report for executive team
Create the following for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United
Jersey sales report
Category report
Product launch sales report
Manage retail historical reports
Accounting/Ordering
Assist with payment of invoices in Concur
Create Excel document of internal orders
Assist with internal orders from the team store and retail warehouse
Review retail inventory closet and keep track of all orders
Assist with invoicing from outside vendors to ensure all departments receive them in a timely manner
Maintain NFL & MLS ordering calendars
Work with various departments on their internal orders
Manage signing day ordering and logistics for both teams
Analyze retail sales data in Excel format
Qualifications and Education Requirements
1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in sports
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Knowledge of the NFL and MLS
Must be available to work select Atlanta United matches and Atlanta Falcons games and store promotions, including evenings and weekends
Required Skills
Strong organizational and computer skills required
Flexible and a team player
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task, problem solve effectively and handle stressful and difficult situations
