
Facility Engineer
Position Summary
The Facility Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the daily management and maintenance for the entirety of the Atlanta Falcons' training facility, including the team’s indoor facility and on-campus housing units. You will oversee all aspects of facility systems maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Additionally, this individual will collaborate on significant facility expansions and renovations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee the operation and maintenance of the facility's HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building software systems, including scheduling regular inspections and maintenance, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring that all systems meet industry standards and codes
Manage all inventory-related processes, including procurement, implementing, and maintaining inventory management software systems to track equipment usage and inventory levels to support maintenance activities
Responsible for conducting research to locate and procure necessary parts and materials required for maintaining the facility
Utilize facility management software systems to track the status of work orders, prioritize them based on urgency, and assign them to maintenance staff or contractors as needed, ensuring that all work orders are completed in a timely and efficient manner
Uses appropriate discretion to determine which facility projects should be performed in-house and those that require a 3rd party professional to maximize time and budgetary efficiency
Manages vendor service contracts and supervises onsite contract labor
Maintains maintenance records on all building equipment and maintenance procedures
Develop and manage budgets for all facility-related expenses, ensuring that all expenses are within the preapproved budget
Collaborate with other departments, including IT, security, and operations, to ensure that all systems are integrated and working together smoothly
Collaborate with internal staff in managing large-scale facility projects, such as building renovations or new construction, jointly overseeing all aspects of the project from conception to completion
Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices related to facility maintenance and management
Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including after hours, as required
Ensure that the facility is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations, including those related to safety, health, and environmental issues
Comply with established OSHA procedures
Understanding of safety protocols to ensure the well-being of staff and visitors
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the sports or entertainment industry
Minimum of 3-5 year of experience with capital projects
HVAC Certification
Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems, as well as building automation systems
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Certified Building Engineer (CBE) Certification preferred
Professional engineering license (P.E.) or relevant certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) preferred
Familiarity with building management software and computer-aided design (CAD) software
Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining inventory management software systems to track equipment, supplies, and materials usage

Ability to read and interpret Blueprints
Exceptional understanding of facility management, maintenance, repair, and construction processes
Exceptional evaluation, prioritization, and decision-making skills
Knowledge of sustainability best practices and experience implementing energy efficiency measure
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility
Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task
Availability to be on-call and to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary
