
Security Director, The Battery Atlanta
Security Director is responsible for aiding the Vice President of Security with developing and supplying the highest class, best security management of The Battery Atlanta. This includes building positive relationships with clients, employees, and other stakeholders, as well as managing multiple third-party security contracts related to security on property. Work with all security stakeholders, Federal, State, and local law enforcement, Fire and EMS, and other entities involved in safety and security on the property. The Security Director will maintain and oversee weekly security operations which include budget, schedules, and invoices for in-house or third-party security contracts, and supply after-hour emergency responses as needed.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Manage the day-to-day security operations of The Battery Atlanta.
Manage and support the third-party security contract management personnel, Account Manager and Assistant Account Manager.
Manage day-to-day third-party security contracts.
Ensure The Battery Atlanta is provided with the highest quality security services to protect people and property.
Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with clients, employees, and staff.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITITES
Track and monitor operating expenses for security.
Maintain current knowledge of technology that would enhance security operations on the property.
Manage gameday and special event security including assisting in drafting of Security Operating Plans and coordinating same with all stakeholders.
Facilitate video requests, review, and supply to the Vice President.
Supply proper assistance as necessary to executives and staff.
Monitor open-source media and work for any information related to the security of the guests or property.
Work closely with and supply any assistance that law enforcement may need to ensure that they receive the necessary information and video for investigations.
Ensure that all reporting and contract compliance requirements are being met.
Assure regular and prompt communication of any issues with the Vice President of Security.
Manage any escalated security issues or emergencies appropriately.
Coordinate and ensure that scheduled hours for security are being maintained within the confines of the service agreement.
Ensure that contract security is working at expected standards and that all equipment and uniforms are kept to expected standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
Four-year degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or equivalent Law Enforcement or Military experience.
15+ years of relevant security, military, and/or law enforcement experience.
At least 5 years of supervisory experience in security, military, law enforcement, or related field.
Ability to develop and grow customer relationships.
Excellent customer service skills.
Prior payroll, billing, and scheduling experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work different shifts and days (including holidays and weekends) when necessary.
Program management experience in both strategic and tactical planning.
