Hockey Development Team Member
The Coyotes are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the Coyotes Hockey Development Team and help grow the sport of hockey in the state of Arizona. The primary responsibility is to promote the Arizona Coyotes through the use of various street and ice hockey clinics. Members must be upbeat, outgoing individuals with a strong work ethic who possess the ability to interact with all types of people. This position will familiarize members with the inner workings of a professional sports team and venue.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist with any on-ice clinics (Little Howlers, Growlers, G League, etc.)
Teach and instruct youth and adult Learn to Play programs introducing the fundamentals of ice hockey
Assist with all Coyotes Street Hockey League
Teach and instruct children and teachers the fundamentals and rules of street hockey at Coyotes Raise the Pack PE Takeovers or any other street hockey clinic
Assist with any roller hockey clinics
Assist, as necessary, with other departmental promotional/community events (i.e. Community Relations, Fan Development, Sales, Corporate Partnerships, etc.).
Drive Coyotes “Promotional Vehicles” to and from events. Make sure vehicles are fully stocked with necessary items for the event and put away accordingly after the event, ensuring that the vehicles are kept clean at all times.
Assist with organization and maintenance of the Fan Development storage Unit(s).
Assist with other tasks on an as-needed basis.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
Minimum 18 years of age
Local candidates preferred- we do not offer relocation for this position.
Knowledge and passion for hockey (Ice Skating and Hockey playing experience a plus, but not required)
Possess a valid driver’s license, automobile liability insurance and a good driving record.
Flexible schedule that includes both weekday and/or weekend availability
Requires prolonged standing; ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Education and Formal Training:
USA Hockey Certification is a plus or will be provided
Includes Background Screening and SafeSport certification
