Manager, Digital Marketing

The Digital Marketing Manager for the Arizona Cardinals will oversee strategy and execution on all paid digital media campaigns with a primary focus on revenue generation. The position will deliver the brands voice and persona to market via creative and compelling digital media campaigns in conjunction with the overall advertising plan. They will control a digital marketing budget and report analytics on ticket sales, partnership, and fan engagement development. This position will handle the paid digital marketing efforts for the Arizona Cardinals Football Club.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Digital Marketing Manager position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following:

  • Create and execute paid digital media strategies for all sellable Cardinals inventory across paid search, social and digital with a primary focus on ticket revenue

  • Manage setup of campaigns across digital platforms, including but not limited to, placing pixels, developing custom audiences and custom links to track all assets

  • Closely track and report overall campaign performance across digital channels

  • Build reporting framework for all digital ticket sales conversions to evaluate and maximize ROI on various channels

  • Collaborate with email, CRM, and ticketing teams to maximize conversion rates to retain and grow our database

  • Focus on innovative industry trends and new technology and implement in a timely manner

  • Streamline consistent messaging with the voice and brand persona of the Cardinals organic social media channels across SMS, ticketing and paid social

  • Work closely with our internal creative and digital media teams to ideate, storyboard, and develop assets for paid digital campaigns

  • Develop and execute influencer programs to increase brand awareness and manage tools

  • Assist with digital advertising strategy and execution for Arizona Cardinals supplementary initiatives. Including events, Youth Football, Community Relations, Cardinals Cheerleaders, and other initiatives

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Work in a timely, effective manner to hit deadlines that come with the dynamic sports industry

  • Provide a high level of service and support to all internal departments

  • Dynamic storyteller, with excellent copywriting skills

  • Ability to gather and analyze information to find a solution quickly and effectively

  • Conduct regular meetings with other departments to exchange information

  • Maintain professionalism when communicating with internal and external contacts

  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills

  • Will adjust schedule to meet departmental needs

  • Other responsibilities and duties as required/assigned

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, all Cardinals home games and any other on or off-site marketing initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in a marketing role overseeing paid digital media for a sports brand or agency

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field or equivalent on the job experience

  • Digital media experience including SEM and SEO

  • In-house marketing and creative agency experience preferred

  • Experience using native paid social campaign management technology (ex: Facebook Business Manager and Ads Manager)

  • Creative mind with a proficient understanding of digital analytics

  • Proficiency understanding of Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok and keep a pulse on emerging digital trends

  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and work collaboratively

  • Possess a working knowledge of and passion for football

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as club schedule directs

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Travel: May be required 2 – 3 times a year for air travel and overnight stays for appearances, conferences, league meetings, and team events.

  • Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Work Environment: The position is primarily based at the Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Facility in Tempe, AZ, but may be required to work home games and team functions at the State Farm Stadium located in Glendale, AZ.
