Job Summary:
The Arizona Cardinals Training Camp Football Equipment Internship is sponsored by the Football Equipment Department located at the Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Facility in Tempe, AZ. This internship provides an exceptional opportunity for committed, hardworking, and dedicated individuals that are seeking to gain a future career in Equipment Management, including first-hand experience in a National Football League (NFL) environment. This internship assists in the daily operations of the department such as equipment set-up, breakdown, and maintenance, assisting position coaches, and locker room preparation.
Primary Job Duties:
The Training Camp Equipment Intern position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation the following:
Set-up and breakdown training camp equipment
Laundry (washing, folding, etc.)
Practice field set-up and breakdown
Work with position coaches during practice such as moving heavy objects, throwing to a player, setting up drills, etc.
Assist with the upkeep of protective equipment
Locker room prep for games and practices
Qualifications/Requirements:
Education: Currently enrolled in a college educational program
Basic knowledge and concepts of football equipment management preferred, but not required
Basic knowledge and concepts of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA)
Ability to work program duration from July 2022 to September 2022; hours may vary depending on business needs.
Position Information:
Includes walking and/or standing for extended periods of time
May have continuous exposure to outdoor weather conditions
May require continuous lifting and bending
