Location: Arizona Cardinals (Tempe, AZ)

Format: In-person

Duration: This a one-year position starting in April 2025 with an opportunity for extension, based on strong performance.

Job Summary:

The Equipment Assistant role is an exceptional opportunity for a committed, hardworking, and dedicated individual that is seeking a future career in Football Equipment Management, including first-hand experience in an NFL environment. The Equipment Assistant will aid in the daily operations of the department which includes equipment set-up, breakdown, and maintenance, assisting position coaches, and locker room preparation.

Primary Job Duties:

The Equipment Assistant will have the daily responsibilities, without limitation, to include the following:

  • Set-up and breakdown practice equipment
  • Completion of assigned duties for game day preparation
  • Laundry (washing, folding, etc.)
  • Practice field set-up and breakdown
  • Position coach assistance during practice such as moving heavy objects, throwing, and catching with players, setting up drills, etc.
  • Assist with the upkeep of protective equipment
  • Locker room prep for games and practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Completed bachelors degree or anticipated degree completion by May 2025
  • Experience: At least two years of collegiate sports equipment experience
  • Basic knowledge and concepts of football equipment management preferred.
  • Basic knowledge and concepts of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA).
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length.
  • This role will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs.
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
